Initially , the Saini caste was considered among the higher castes in India , but later the population decreased , leading to its inclusion in the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category . Another reason for this is the merger of many different castes with the Saini caste , and the people of those castes are not economically strong . For example , the Mali caste in Rajasthan started using the Saini caste name and they now consider themselves as Saini .
